ECRE is recruiting for two positions: a Senior Legal Officer and a coordinator of the Asylum Information Database (AIDA) Project.

The Senior Legal Officer is part of ECRE’s Legal and Policy Team and takes the lead in strengthening ECRE’s activities relating to the definition and content of international protection under EU law and international refugee and human rights law, the Dublin Regulation and the protection of persons who belong to vulnerable groups.

The AIDA Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Asylum Information Database (AIDA) project, including the administration, finance and logistics and is supported by a Junior Legal Officer and a Legal Assistant. The AIDA Coordinator is also responsible for coordination with the partners and the IT support and represents ECRE in external activities related to AIDA. AIDA provides independent and up-to-date information to the media, researchers, advocates, legal practitioners and the public on asylum practices in Europe, in particular with regard to asylum procedures, reception conditions and detention. The project currently covers 16 EU Member States and will soon be expanded with the addition of two non-EU countries.

Candidates should send a curriculum vitae and cover letter to Evelyne Rottiers (erottiers@ecre.org) no later than 16 February 2015, stating respectively “Application Senior Legal Officer” or  “Application AIDA Coordinator” in the subject heading.
