Registration is open for the Summer School “European Union Law and Policy on Immigration and Asylum”. The programme aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the immigration and asylum policy of the European Union from a legal perspective.

The Summer School is organised by the Academic Network for Legal Studies on Immigration and Asylum in Europe, founded with the financial support of the Odysseus Programme of the European Commission and co-ordinated by the Institute for European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Academics from universities across Europe co-operating in the Network and high ranking officials from the European Institutions and UNHCR, will deliver the lectures, both in French and English.

At the end of the Summer School, participants will receive a certificate of attendance specifying each of the courses followed.

Registration is also open for the Congress “Towards a Common European Asylum System: the Added Value of the Legislative Package of Second Generation”, organised by the Odysseus Network and the Global Migration Centre of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. The Congress will take place in Brussels on 8 and 9 April 2014.
