ECRE Letter to the JHA Council on the Asylum Package

ECRE addressed a letter to the Justice and Home Affairs Ministers ahead of their meeting on 30 November/1 December 2009. As Ministers will have a first discussion on the Commission proposals recasting the Qualification and Asylum Procedures Directive, ECRE calls on all Member States to commit to work together with the European Parliament and the Commission in a constructive way to establish a solid legal framework for the CEAS that is based on high standards of protection.
