European Resettlement Network for Practical Cooperation in Resettlement
International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC)-Europe, with financing from the European Refugee Fund (ERF) of the European Commission, is implementing the twelve-month project to foster practical cooperation in resettlement, and in particular to promote the establishment of the new network, in partnership with seven European non-governmental organisations (NGO's) currently engaged in the resettlement and/ or integration of refugees. The project is being implemented in close collaboration with the Resettlement Services Division of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva and with the European Council for Refugees and Exiles (ECRE).

The International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) has published: ‘Welcome to Europe! A Comparative Guide to Resettlement in Europe', which was elaborated in collaboration with UNHCR Resettlement Services with co-funding of the European commission. The Guide offers a complete overview of all phases of the resettlement process: an overview of the UNHCR framework for resettlement; resettlement at EU levels; a country-by-country description of the resettlement programmes in: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom; an overview of reception and integration practices in EU resettlement countries; and a number of conclusions and recommendations relating to future resettlement programming in Europe. It is the first time that much of the information regarding resettlement throughout Europe is gathered in such a comprehensive way, offering analyses, statistics and comparative tables.
