What: Travel to Barrancos with a group of refugees & Conference When: 17 June
Following an honour made by the Spanish city of Oliva de la Frontera to the people of Barrancos, recognizing their support to refugees of the Spanish Civil War, CPR, in partnership with the Municipality of Barrancos and CRIA (Network Centre for Research in Anthropology), is organizing a journey to Barrancos with a group of refugees.
The conference organised following the journey will feature a documentary film "Refugiados de Barrancos". In addition many prominent speakers will give presentations on on refugees in Barrancos, Spanish Civil War and Developments in Refugee Protection.
What: Sardines dinner & Music Festival When: 20 June, 6-8pm Where: Refugee Reception Centre
On Saturday, CPR is organizing a “sardines” outdoor dinner, between 6 and 8 in the evening, on the patio of the Refugee Reception Centre, Bobadela. It will be a attended by a mixture of refugees, former residents from the centre, CPR’s staff, local community, partners and friends.
Following the dinner the Music Festival will start at 9pm presenting national and international artists who will take part in these celebrations: Fernando Tordo, Nancy Vieira, João Afonso, Couple Coffee and the theatre group RefugiActo.
