ECRE welcomes applications for membership from European organisations who work on behalf of refugees and asylum seekers or who work to promote a humane and liberal asylum policy. ECRE also welcomes applications from organisations based outside of Europe that operate at an EU level.

Joining ECRE allows organisations to fully participate in its work and to benefit from the collective influence of such a large network. Members can participate in ECRE's legal and policy discussion forums, take part in biannual meetings, feed into policy work and participate in relevant project work. Members can also access a broad range of comparative information materials and update information on refugee and asylum issues in Europe.
